With guests including Tanya Tucker, T Bone Burnett, and Josh Homme, the country star’s seventh album trades the pop sheen of recent releases for rootsy, candidly autobiographical songwriting.

On the follow-up to BRAT, the pop auteur pivots to a referential, proudly tossed-off rock sound that offers mystifying glances behind the curtain of stardom.

The longtime Arthur Russell collaborator finally gets a solo exhibition: a gorgeously realized and fundamentally incomplete work of sensual art-folk, leftfield disco, and experimental synth-pop. It’s at once an archival triumph and one of the year’s most thrilling new releases.

Spontaneous Music Live

by Sam Goldner on June 30, 2026 at 4:03 am

The L.A. improv quintet made its first two LPs by remixing key moments from its gigs; now, on a pair of astonishing unedited live takes, the group proves that performance is the heart of its music.

The pop star’s third album is a heartbreaking account of an intense romance and its demise. Its mood is perfectly reflected in the music, and her evolution as a songwriter is a sight to behold.

EXIT 2B

by Olivier Lafontant on June 9, 2026 at 4:03 am

The Miami duo’s electrifying, boundary-bending combination of Haitian kompa, underground rap, reggaeton, electro-pop, and baile funk is loud as hell and rich in egalitarian spirit.

Despite the upsetting circumstances, the post-metal icons have come back even stronger. Earlier this year, they released the surprise album An Undying Love For A Burning World. Last night, they gave their first performance in seven years. The post Neurosis Play First Show With New Vocalist Aaron Turner At Fire In The Mountains appeared first on Stereogum.

    • PUPSIES – MISERY
by SOUNDFISTER on July 26, 2026 at 6:38 pm

You never know if making music just for fun will make it’s way to stardome making you a star out of nowhere.Pupsies is a female music artist who began making hyperpop/scenecore for fun in late 2023 at the age of 16.Her real name is Ella Kamgaing and her “Misery” single is a raw, viral lo-fi track that debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 80 and climbed to No. 62.Critical reviews highlight its raw teenage angst, catchy nursery-rhyme melody, and shifting electronic arrangement. In fact it reminds me of early 80s electronic arrangments from artists like Yazoo or Depeche Mode in their very early stuff. It  features a simple, repetitive three-note singsong pattern that feels like a dark nursery rhyme that somehow works. This could blow up over the next weeks making a huge impact in music and social media.Rate (4/5) Password:soundfist40

    • CLOONEE & PROSPA ft TRISTAN HENRY – GOOD GIRL
by SOUNDFISTER on July 25, 2026 at 6:47 pm

This collaboration between Prospa and Cloonee prove to be one of the most successful in the Uk and among djs around the world since “Free Your Mind” claimed Beatport’s overall top spot within days of its release and a Uk top 10 status this week.Cloonee and Prospa know a thing or two about striking while the iron is hot. The UK tastemakers reconvene for “Good Girl” the first single from Cloonee’s debut album. “Good Girl” comes with a hip-shakin’ house groove and a topline that deals in soulful singularity. The song features vocals from UK singer-songwriter Tristan Henry alongside spoken word from Melynda Randal, layered over a pulsing, bass-heavy production that feels built for peak-time sets rather than radio play.Get into a dance mood with this hottie…Rate (4/5) Password:soundfist76

    • HUGEL & QUAVO – WHERE SHE COME FROM
by SOUNDFISTER on July 25, 2026 at 3:13 pm

HUGEL is exploding all over the world due to “Moving To The Sun” mania, the biggest dance hit this summer. And since he is currently making his way to the Uk charts (never before done by Hugel) the sky is the limit.”Where She Come From” is the second single for “Twenty One Part 2”, the next installment of HUGEL’s debut album he put out in June.He continues to push the boundaries of house music by collaborating with Quavo over a hypnotic flow with a percussive groove that pulls on the tech house and Afro house end of HUGEL’s range rather than the Latin house he’s known for.Per me this is not as good as the previous released by HUGEL but hey it’s only dance music and the pulse is there…Rate (4/5) Password:soundfist59

    • MARTIN GARRIX & U2 – FIREFLIES
by SOUNDFISTER on July 24, 2026 at 4:17 pm

First with Madonna now with U2, Martin Garrix is declared the dj with the biggest collaborations this year. His relationship with U2 goes back several years. In 2021, Bono and The Edge were featured artists on “We Are The People” the official anthem for UEFA EURO 2020, while later that year Martin Garrix co-produced, mixed, and mastered “Your Song Saved My Life” which was included on the soundtrack for the film “Sing 2”.Now i don’t know if you will see “Fireflies” by listening to the song but my personal opinion is that this is above the average good for what it is.The song made its world premiere on July 17, as the finale of Martin Garrix’s headline set on the festival’s main stage in Boom, Belgium. In one of the biggest surprises of the night, The Edge took to the stage to perform the song’s signature guitar lines live, while Bono’s voice was heard over pre-recorded vocals, giving the audience one of the most talked-about moments of this year’s festival. The song moves between pop, rock and dance electronic music and that equals to a big stadium crowd pleaser.”Fireflies” is a hit!!!Rate (4.5/5) Password:soundfist8
