But don’t worry we have the perfect solution for you! To keep your radio stations alive, you can migrate to Shoutcast, the long-standing world leader in digital radio, and enjoy a FREE one-year subscription! 1. They never informed us. this is the first email we got. 2. Radionomy pays royalties to music artist and Shoutcast does NOT pay royalties. 3. Shoutcast and Radionomy are actually owned by the same company. 4. Radionomy was free to operate your radio station. They got most off the ad revenue. 5. Shoutcast is not free. We have to purchase one of their plans after a year. 6. Shoutcast does not pay royalties. Unless we get a royalties license we can not play mainstream music anymore. So, we have already stopped playing it. That is just way to expensive and not in the cards for us to be able to do. 7. Can we still promote your music, if your an indie artist? Yes, if you give us permission to play it. However if your a registered artist you will not get paid royalties. If you would like us to remove your music from our station, just let us know. It will not be an issue. 8. Any music you submit you must own the copywrite to it or be permitted to perform it and give copyright permission. You are personally responsible for what you perform and submit. |
What does that mean for IndieRadioFM.net?
Well, I thought about just shutting down the radio station. But I wanted there to be a place that new indie music artist can show off their music. The original idea was to mix indie music with mainstream. Because we are not airing mainstream music anymore you will probably get more radio air time.
- We are going to give artist a profile page to show off their music. Please make sure you complete your new profile page.
- We are going to highlight music videos more, so make sure we have your youtube url promoted.
